Mesmo tendo sido indicado oito vezes para concorrer em diversas categorias no Grammy 2017, o cantor Drake não irá comparecer à cerimônia de premiação, pois não vai remanejar sua agenda de shows para tal ocasião. Na mesma data da cerimônia, dia 12 de Fevereiro, ele terá show em Manchester, na Inglaterra.
Outros artistas também já anunciaram que não irão comparecer ao Grammy 2017, por achar que a lista anunciada não condiz com o que existe de melhor na atual cena musical, como por exemplo, os cantores Justin Bieber e Kanye West, ambos têm quatro indicações.
